  10.      At the present time the concern among Catholic liturgists 
  11. about the question of the mass in English, is utterly confused 
  12. by the new media such as movie, radio, and TV. For the social 
  13. role and function of a vernacular are constantly being shifted 
  14. by the means of interrelating it to private life. Thus the 
  15. question of the mass in English today is as confused as the role 
  16. of English in religion and politics in the sixteenth century.
